DMCA Policy
Animeflix respects the intellectual property of others. If you believe that content linked from this site infringes your copyright, follow the procedure below.
01 Overview
This DMCA Policy describes how Animeflix handles claims of copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512, and equivalent procedures under EU Directive 2019/790 and national copyright laws.
02 We don't host files
Animeflix is an indexing service. We do not store, upload, or transmit any audio, video, or media files. All playback originates from third-party services that are not affiliated with us.
For takedowns of the actual file, contact the third-party host directly. We will, however, remove links and references on Animeflix when a valid notice is received.
03 Filing a takedown
Send a written notice to our designated agent (see Section 8). Email is preferred. We aim to action valid notices within 48 hours of receipt.
04 Required elements
To be valid under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must include all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- The exact Animeflix URL(s) where the allegedly infringing material is located — one URL per item.
- Your contact information: full name, address, telephone number, and email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the rightsholder.
Incomplete notices will be returned for correction.
05 Counter-notice
If you believe content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notice including:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material removed and the URL where it appeared.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, phone, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court of your district.
06 Repeat infringers
In appropriate circumstances, Animeflix will block access from users or sources that repeatedly submit links to infringing material.
07 Misuse warning
Knowingly submitting a false or misleading DMCA notice may expose you to liability for damages, costs, and attorneys' fees under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). Make sure the use is not protected by fair use or another lawful exception before submitting.
